For everyone who has already put CM7 on their Touchpad, I'm going to direct you to a tutorial which will show you how to install the Android Market on your device. At the moment I am a bit busy to make the tutorial myself but I will definately do it once I have the time.
Head over to http://rootzwiki.com/topic/6613-how-to-install-google-market-apps-on-cm7-alpha-touchpad/ for the tutorial and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask here.
Happy Droiding :)
I've just updated to Alpha 2.1, went smoothly and no problems. Its fixed the wifi issue, as well as few other bugs. I'm amazed how stable it is for something not even in Beta yet. The only thing I'm waiting for is the microphone to work.
ReplyDeleteActually one question. I saw there was a Web OS update available which I'd like to just try to see if there is any noticable improvement, but I'm guessing I'll lose my boot options. So how complicated will it be to put it back on?
ReplyDeleteAnd are you on twitter Daniel?
Sorry about the late reply. Yes you will lose android and will have to reinstall by following the whole process again. The build is very good and I commend the team at Cyanogenmod for the work they have done. I am not on twitter and in general I am not really into the whole social network thing, hence why I haven't replied until now. This page was built more to help my friends and family to install CM7 than for self glory or anything like that. I am however very happy that people have found it useful and can boast a page view count of over 15,000 since I began.
ReplyDeletewell social or not, your work here was really appreciated by people like myself who managed to get hold of the touchpad and customise it.
ReplyDeletethanks for your time.
if you ever go social, look me up @beefstirfry
